The second DLC of Call of Duty Ghosts is drawing closer and as we approach its release date, the developer has been releasing screenshots and trailers to tell the fans what they can expect from the DLC and from what we’ve seen till now, it is definitely something to look forward to.
The second DLC will be the Devastation DLC which will feature a whole lot of new content so in this article, we’ll be covering what you can expect from the upcoming expansion.
First and foremost, Devastation will feature 4 new multiplayer maps. These maps are:
The maps seem fairly large according to what we’ve seen thus far and definitely allow a lot of room for chaos and havoc which is what every Call of Duty player dreams of causing. Out of the 4 maps that will be featured in devastation, the one that stood out to me the most was “Ruins” because of one thing mostly, an exploding volcano. I mean come on an exploding volcano is something that everyone will love to see in a first person shooter. Another good thing about this is that it is something unique which is great for the franchise as a lot of people call it somewhat repetitive.
Devastation doesn’t only come with new maps, it’ll also be adding in a new weapon for multiplayer. The new weapon will be the Ripper 2-in-1 SMG/AR which was also teased in a recent trailer and seems like something people will sure as hell want to get their hands on. Along with the new weapon the expansion will also feature Episode 2 (Named Mayday) of the extinction mode, here’s a short summary of what Mayday will be like according to the developer:
“In Episode 2: Mayday, the Quick Reaction Force team is sent into investigate a high-tech ghost ship adrift in the South Pacific. To deal with the insidious wall-crawling “Seeder” and skyscraper sized monstrosity known as the “Kraken” your team will need new tactics and weapons.”
Perhaps the biggest selling point of the Devastation expansion is the addition of Predator. Yes, the predator from the Alien vs Predator movie, he was recently teased in a gameplay trailer which you can watch below.
The DLC will be available on 3rd April 2014 for the Xbox live with the PC version following shortly after and will be priced at 15$.
