The upcoming Assassin’s Creed which is currently code named as Assassin’s Creed: Unity has had rumors circulating about it for quite some time now, it initially popped up on NeoGAF which is a gaming forum and now has screenshots of it leaked all over the internet.
Unity is to be one of the two releases that Ubisoft has planned for Assassin’s Creed this year and according to all the information we have now, it seems that it will be set during 18th century France.
While we’re on the topic of two releases, according to sources the two releases will be for different generations of consoles.
Assassin’s Creed Unity seems like it will be released for next generation consoles which are the Xbox One and the PS4 and the other release, currently code named as Assassin’s Creed Comet will be for the older generation of consoles which are the PS 3 and Xbox 360.
While there is still no information on the PC release of the game, it is very likely that it will be announced later on because every single game of the series has had a version on the PC and it will be very surprising if that trend just randomly changes this year.
Other things that are currently known about Unity are that it will be set during the French revolution and will follow the story of the assassin “Arno”.
The screenshots of Assassins Creed Unity were obtained by the folks over at Kotaku when one of their staff was contacted by an anonymous source that sent over these screenshots, Ubisoft had no comment on the situation when approached by Kotaku.
