Infamous: Second Son is the third installment of its series. It is being developed by Sucker Punch Productions and from what we’ve seen of the game until now it seems to be a master piece.
The game is set for release tomorrow 21st March 20, 2014 and is a Playstation 4 exclusive. Infamous: Second Son has had a huge amount of hype built around it ever since it has been revealed over the internet and the developer promises that it will be one of the first games to fully utilize the powerful hardware of the Playstation 4.
Speaking of hardware utilization, it is definitely worth mentioning that the game has been confirmed to run at 1080p and 30 frames per second. This means you should prepare yourself for the jaw dropping visuals that the game has to offer which make for a perfect combination with the stable frame rate.
The plot of the game is set in Seattle, Washington 7 years after the events of Infamous 2 and revolves around the protagonist Delsin Rowe who is a 24 year old slacker and a graffiti artist who apparently wakes up with his powers after being attacked while helping out a conduit.
The gameplay is action packed and is definitely the selling point of the game, the fact paced combat combined with the obscene amount of power that Delsin has is definitely enough to keep anybody hooked onto the game and the fact that there are huge amounts of powers just waiting to be unlocked also solidifies the fact that players will be spending a whole lot of time on the game. Also the fact that along with his own powers, he can also steal the powers from other conduits so yeah, Delsin is one mean wrecking machine.
To understand the gameplay of Infamous: Second Son properly, you may think of Activision’s Prototype but with way more explosions and chaos. I’m sure it doesn’t get any better than that.
Moving forward, the developer of Infamous: Second Son stated that while building the game there were features of the game that simply weren’t possible on the older generation of consoles. The Playstation 4 with its massive 8 GB of memory made a multitude of things a possibility for the developer. These things will be coming in the form of some absurdly strong powers and extreme mobility options so Infamous: Second Son definitely doesn’t restrain you from going completely insane in the environment and causing havoc wherever you tread.
We’ve seen what the game is capable of so now it’s just a one day wait to see how well the studio has managed to execute it as the game releases tomorrow 21st March 2014.
