A little information about the characters:
Little is much known of our hero “HIRYU” but we have all come to love him for how badass he is, what’s not to love? He is a master of many things like if you want something destroyed he is your guy, if you want someone to disappear he is your guy, if you want secrets..Well you get what I mean; he is just that kinda guy.
Being a Strider agent he has gone through hellish training and is well known in his organization, as a top agent he is given the mission to assassinate “GRANDMASTER MEIO” the main antagonist of the story.
A little introduction for our “GRANDMASTER MEIO”, he is the all powerful ruler of the world. He even called the year Meio so yes, very powerful (the game starts at Meio Year 0048).
History of the game:
Strider was first distributed in the arcades in 1989 as an action game that was very popular when it was ported to the home consoles for everyone to enjoy. This is the 5th entry into this wonderful franchise and we are blessed that “Double Helix Games” decided to make this game.
What I can say about the game:
The game is quite fun to play for it is a side-scrolling action game which is always fun to play and the puzzles are not always doable where as you need to get a certain skill in order to do it.
Now some might say “Why should I come back later to this area, such a bother”, yes it is somewhat tiring but isn’t that why we play games? Because games are intended to take time to finish and if you work hard on something and actually accomplish what you desire you get the best feeling ever. The game has also a few features that make it fun!
The story mode where you follow “Hiryu” in his quest to murder our friend “Grandmaster Meio”, is a long but fruitful journey, some people don’t really like story modes where they are just playing to have fun and this game has that covered because you can open special game modes as you progress into the story.
The 11 costumes to be unlocked which will add spice into your gameplay and the part I like the most is the “Two Unlockable Challenge Modes” that being “Beacon Run” which is like a race agains’t time kinda challenge where you need to get to the check point as fast possible while being attacked by enemies of course and lastly it’s the “Survival” which is basically testing your skills against waves of enemies that all want a piece of you.
Would I recommend this game?
Definitely, especially if you like ninjas and robots! All things considered, the game is extremely fun and you should definitely give it a try.
