1. The Game Focuses Almost Entirely On Multiplayer
Titanfall is one of those games which you simply cannot play without an internet connection. The core gameplay is multiplayer and there is a multiplayer campaign as well. While there are mentions of a single player campaign, nothing is set in stone so if you’re looking forward to picking up Titanfall at its release, be sure to have a stable internet connection ready as you’ll probably be needing it to play most of the game.
2. The Maximum Player Count Is 12
Vince Zampella (Founder of Respawn) stated in a Tweet the maximum player count is 6v6 so you can’t have more than 12 players per game but you shouldn’t let this small number disappoint you because every player has access to a Titan which is a giant-mech you can pilot around to wreak havoc and along with this there is also a massive amount of AI scattered around the map which is either in the form of soldiers which the game calls “Minions” which range from Grunts, Spectres, Marlins and also massive Titans running around causing havoc.
3. The Core Gameplay While Out Of Titan Form Is Quite Similar To A Call Of Duty Game
While the game isn't completely Call of Duty, the core first person shooter mechanics resemble the other traditional shooters such as Call of Duty quite closely. The controls are almost exactly the same and if you’re a veteran Call of Duty player don’t be surprised if you manage to perform well and come out with an impressive KDA after your very first game.
4. There Are One Time Boosts Known As “Burn Cards”
After playing through the game a bit and gaining a few levels under your belt you’re granted access to a burn card slot which is filled up with a burn card. You can acquire burn cards by completing tasks that the game assigns to you. Burn cards provide amazing benefits which you simply cannot overlook such as amplified weapons or super speed.
5. The Game Is A Microsoft Exclusive
Microsoft announced during a press conference in E3 that Titanfall will be a Microsoft exclusive and as of now there still haven’t been any rumors or announcements which mention a Titanfall release for the PlayStation. Therefore, the game will only be released for XBOX 360, XBOX One and the PC which is unfortunate for many PlayStation users out there as the game showed a lot of promise.
