Pokémon a game millions know and love. A game that will always be remembered as a cartridge with a lot of sentimental value. I remember playing these games for hours on end over the summer and never stopping. Now with every good memory there will be a bad memory accompanied with it and yes I have a lot of those.
Now for tips and tricks to avoid those nasty memories. Those Zubats, yes those pesky creatures that will start a battle with you at every step in a cave. Now if you don’t want to see them then simply get repels. Super repels are the best to keep these Pokemon away, because super repels are cost effective, but as you go deeper into the game you get stacks of poke dollars, so there should be no economic issues.
Now for picking a starter. This choice is probably ranked a choice equal to choosing which college you got to or what degree to get. There are the three main types of starters in every Pokemon game, fire, water, and grass. There are usually the stats divided in this way, the grass will get the more defensive stats, the fire will get more attacking stats, and water will be the most balanced. Then another thing about water is that it can learn Surf which is an important HM in game, and a powerful move. At the end of the day it is your choice.
Lastly there is the problem of the Pokemon getting under leveled and you end up losing a lot before a miracle comes out to save you. You can be a bit under leveled if you have a well-balanced team with balanced moves. Now if you don’t have that then GRIND. You go to a place with high levels and kill Pokemon left and right. This is basic but really effective. Then get a Lucky Egg, an Exp. boosting item. Here are some step for getting a lucky egg in Pokemon X and Y:
- Get a Friend Safari with Chancey
- Get Trevenant with Frisk
- teach it Thief (TM from Camphier)
- have a fainted pokemon with Compoudeyes first in party, Trevenant second
- Enter battles in that safari, if Trevenant frisks a Lucky Egg use Thief
- Remove Lucky Egg from Trevenant
Other items to consider are an Exp. Share, an item which shares exp. between Pokemon and a versus seeker which lets you rematch trainers. The trainers you should go to are the ones with strong Pokemon and a lot of them. There are also T.Ms which have strong moves, so use them!!
